Please find listed below the link to the risk assessment for the re-opening of the academy in June.

Update 15/7/20

As we move towards the end of the academic year, we want to reassure you regarding the new academic year starting in September. Attendance is compulsory for ALL children. Sanctions will be re-established for families who fail to return their children to the academy. As always, we will follow the government guidance closely and the policies and procedures that have been followed during lockdown and the learning that has taken place by all of the staff team, will ensure that risks are minimised at all times of the day.

Some aspects that will be changed in September.

  • No parents will still be allowed onto the academy site unless invited for a meeting.

  • Full academy uniform to be worn

  • Staggered start and end times and designated entrance and exit points

  • No journals - communication will be via class d'ojo

  • No book bags or school bags

  • Lunch bags/boxes are now allowed

  • No toast or milk now sold - free fruit available for all children and free milk for Reception pupils

  • Cashless lunch ordering - no more ordering at the dining room - All lunches to be paid online via School Money

  • Any lunches that are not paid for can not be allocated so please ensure that lunches are paid for in advance

  • Lunchtimes will be on a rota due to class bubbles - further information provided below

  • The Zone - Before and After School Club will be reinstated and guidelines implemented

Lunchtime Provision

As the government guidance states that classes need to remain in bubbles, this limits the amount of children that we can have in the dining room at any one time. We have split the year groups into two teams.

Team A - Y1,3 & 5

Team B - Y2,4&6

Reception will have their lunches in their room with their staff

All children who bring a packed lunch from home will eat in their classroom each day. All children who are either entitled to a Free School Meal or parents buy a hot lunch they will follow this pattern.

Week 1 Team A will have their lunch in the dining room and have a choice from the servery under Walsall Council's winter menu. Team B will have  a hot lunch in their classroom and this will be in the style of a take away service with the food delivered to the room. Week 2 this will rotate and Team B will enter the dining room and Team A will receive a hot lunch in their room.

The menu's for Team A and Team B can be downloaded from the link below.

Each day the children will be asked by their teacher whether they will be having a hot lunch or packed lunch from home. All hot lunches that parents pay for need to be paid for online. If  payment is not received a lunch will not be provided and parents will need to provide a packed lunch.
